From a random profession to financial freedom
The game shows you the event, but every player works out the total themselves. Get it wrong and the game will show you the formula and go through the number with you, with no penalties.
You don’t choose your profession
It is dealt at random: salary, taxes, mortgage, loans. All the numbers go straight into your report.
A roll and a square
Payday, an opportunity, the market or an expense — the card decides the event, and you work out what it means for the report.
You work out the report yourself
The game highlights the lines that changed and checks the total, but the adding and subtracting is the player’s.
Leaving for the Dream Road
Your passive income has become twice your expenses — now buy your dream or raise your income to the cash target.
Real financial mechanics, not abstract points
Deals and the market
You buy property and businesses on an opportunity card and sell on a market card — the bank won’t allow a deal if the price doesn’t cover the mortgage.
The bank, loans and debts
You borrow in thousands and repay in parts, while taxes and the costs of children are paid only in full and at once.
The exchange: shares, shorts, options
Six shares with no dividends — the only earnings are on the difference in price. Short sales and call and put options add risk.
Bankruptcy, for real
Short of cash on payday and you sell assets to the bank; then half the debts are written off. If that doesn’t help, you are out.
The Dream Road
Payday, businesses and franchises, buying someone else’s dream at double — the rules change and the stakes rise.
The timer and losing connection
Usually 60 seconds to decide, with no penalty for running out. There is no timer at all for filling in the report.
